SCINTO, John Joseph Sr, age 60 of Milford, beloved husband of Jeannette Tordoff Scinto, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center, Stratford. Son of Concetta “Connie” Santora Scinto and the late John Michael Scinto of Trumbull, he was born in Bridgeport on July 12, 1942. He was an insert manager at the Connecticut Post of Bridgeport for more than 36 years before his retirement. Mr. Scinto was an avid bowler and played softball in the Bridgeport Post leagues and was a very active coach and officer in the Milford Junior Major League for 15 years. He enjoyed camping with his family and friends and loved his Las Vegas vacations. We will miss our loving husband, father, friend and neighbor - but wish him well on his journey. Mr. Scinto is survived by two sons, CMSGT John J. Scinto, Jr and wife, Diane, of Scott AFB, Ill and Dean Richard Scinto and wife, Marie, of Vernon, Conn.; a daughter, Carla Scinto-Sissick and husband, Bryan, of Milford; four grandchildren, John and Jessica of Scott AFB; Jessica and Alex of Vernon; a brother Gregory Daniel Scinto of Trumbull; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
