Madeline passed away on March 26, 2016. A kind, loving, giving person, she would do anything to help others. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  Our thanks to Antoinette Morlando Scheer for sharing this sad news.

Madeline Ann (Lorenzo) Smerglinolo, age 73 of Trumbull, on Saturday, March 26, 2016 joined her beloved husband Fred in heaven. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Adeline "Dolly" (Dellamarggio) Lorenzo and twin brother John. She leaves behind the joys of her life, her sons, Christopher Prokop and wife Rebekah of Orange, CT and Charlie Prokop and wife Colleen of North Chelmsford, MA. Her legacy will live on in her greatest loves, her grandchildren, Anna, Noah, Tatum, Caden, Kayleigh and Brandon and grand-dogs, Brydie and Bella. She will be missed by her amazing big brother, Louie and wife Patti. She was blessed with immediate and extended family that brought friendship, love and laughs, especially her "sister from another mister", Helen. Dr. Lou was a cherished friend for over 50 years. She was adored by the residents, friends and co-workers at Stern Village where she worked for 20 years. What a beautiful life she led, touching everyone with simple kindness. We hope that she continues to be an inspiration to the lives that she touched as we were all blessed to know her. We will miss her beautiful smile and infectious laugh.
