Robert P. Fontaine, of Ellenville, a self-employed resident since 1973, died March 6, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus. He was 64. The son of Raul and Philamena Saccone Fontaine, he was born November 1, 1943 in Bridgeport, CT. He was the widower of Mary Carroll Fontaine. Bob was president of the Noonday Club, Ellenville and chairman of the Town of Wawarsing Republican Committee. Survivors include his son, Bill Fontaine and his wife Julie of Newton, NH; his daughter, Marjorie Stoltenhoff and her husband John of Cheshire, CT; two grandchildren, Blaire Fontaine of Cheshire, CT, Drew Fontaine of Newton, NH.

​Just wanted to add that while I hadn't been in contact with Bob since our high school days, still, I remember him well. He was just a great guy - so much so that he still stands out in my mind. My sympathies are with Bob's family. I certainly know the feeling of great loss at far too early a time.
