Jerry, thank you for recognizing Adele's work for international adoptions. I also adopted from Central America and had to take my first son to Hartford to be interviewed at 3 years old. With my second son, there was no interview. Thanks to Adele's efforts these ridiculous questions were ended. We had spoken at a reunion about Salvadoran adoptions and the joys of parenthood as older adults.

I remember Jim well. He was fun and good to talk to. So sorry to hear of his passing.

So sorry to hear of Adele's passing. She was smart and full of life - a special person. My deep sympathy to Adele's daughter, husband and brothers.

Oh, this is so sad. Adele and I were close friends in high school. Although we've been out of contact for decades, I'll always remember the fun we had -- especially driving my parents' Pontiac up and down Maine St., smoking cigarettes, blaring the radio, and honking at boys. Sometimes we'd shout lewd things at them, like, "Hey, Babe!" Or, "Cute buns!!"
