SHELTON, CT: Stella Barbara (Danielczuk) Zietek, age 79, affectionately known as Barbara, entered into eternal rest on April 22, 2021, at Yale-New Haven Hospital following a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward M. Zietek.

     Barbara was born in Derby on February 23, 1942, daughter of the late Walter and Stella Brzostowska Danielczuk. After marriage, she resided in Port Chester, NY, then moved to Norwalk for many years raising her family, before settling in Shelton in the 1980’s. She was employed in banking her entire career until retirement. Barbara was an animal lover who had many pets of her own throughout her lifetime. She was an advocate and supporter of shelter’s and organizations, especially ASPCA, that helped animals find their perfect home. Barbara loved cooking, especially Polish food, and making Sunday dinners for her family. She also enjoyed traveling and family road trips.

     She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Michael E. Zietek (Mariela) of Ansonia and Walter G. Zietek of Shelton, a daughter, Cynthia B. Zietek of Shelton, granddaughters, Chloe Zietek and Mikayla Zietek, a brother, Peter Danielczuk of Shelton and several cousins and nephews.

     A walk-through visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through to pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. On Friday, April 30, 2021, all are welcome to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am (meeting directly) at St. Michael’s Church, 75 Derby Avenue in Derby.
