Antonia A. Palarino (Manus)

MANUS (Palorino) Antonia "Toni- Ann” , age 65 of Stratford, beloved wife of Edward J. Manus Jr., died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at St. Vincent Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Scranton, Pa. to the late Ralph and Augustina (Maiore) Palarino. Toni-Ann was the owner of Casa Tara hair salon in Fairfield, past president of the Connecticut Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association; member of the National Cosmetologists Association, serving on the Connecticut "Hair Fashion Committee" and editor of the "Stylist Review." She had been named as a "Woman of Substance and featured in the Connecticut Post newspaper. Mrs. Manus had worked as an employee with the Town of Stratford Board of Education as a CIA in the media center. She was also the manager of the "The Painted Parrot" and "Mystical Cove" at Captain's Cove in Black Rock. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two loving daughters, Tina Marie Manus and Theresa Ann (Manus) Piccolo and her husband, David, all of Stratford; one cherished granddaughter, Ava Joleen Piccolo; one beloved sister, Connie Marie (Palarino) Piersanti and her husband, Michael of East Haven; aunts and uncles, Santo and Mary Maiore and Mary Berardi; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
