Richard E. Laidlaw

 

Richard E. Laidlaw, age 59, of Trumbull, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, in the Jewish Home for the Elderly, Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Edwin and Clarice Walker Laidlaw, and was a Trumbull resident for 47 years. Richard was a self-employed accountant and was a lifelong member of the Nichols Fire Dept. and the Trumbull EMS. He was also a member of the Pinewood Lake Association, and was a former teacher in the Bridgeport and Monroe school systems. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Lagotte Laidlaw; two sons, Richard E. Laidlaw II of Stow, Mass., and Douglas W. Laidlaw of Philadelphia, Pa.; one daughter, Sharon J. Langert of Austin, Texas; one brother, Alan W. Laidlaw of Waterbury; one grandson, Kyle Laidlaw; and several nieces and nephews.
