Jane Ann (Higgins) Brown, age 73, of Monroe, passed away peacefully in her home on November 4, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of John Thomas Higgins and Beatrice (Buckley) Higgins. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Harvey, her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Jennifer Brown of Bethel, CT, her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Robert Williams of Monroe, CT, and her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lavinia Brown of Cambridge, MN. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Margaret Carstensen. Jane was a loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren: Robert, Daniel, and Jonathan Williams of Monroe, CT, Kevin Brown of Woodbury, CT, Erin (Brown) Anderheggen and her husband Dan of Beacon Falls, CT, Richard, Aidan, Jacob, and Sean Brown of Cambridge, MN, and her two great-grandsons, Landon and Maxwell Anderheggen of Beacon Falls, CT. The family would like to thank Patricia, Denise, Lorraine, Ginger, Darla and Ian of Constellation Hospice of Monroe for their dedication in the loving caring for Jane. Also, the family would like to thank Janet and Cheryl, Jane's healthcare companions, for their loving care and never ending support. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
