Lydia Fodeman Butler, age 69 of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Butler was born in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Sidney and Anne Fodeman, and was a member of Congregation B'nai Torah of Trumbull. Mrs. Butler was predeceased by her beloved husband William Butler, and is survived by her devoted sons, Scott Butler, Glenn Butler, and by her cherished sister Marion Lees.

Lydia was my friend all though high and after. We got into some crazy things at her parent's home when they were not there,like drinking RUM and COLA and singing with the Andrews Sisters the same song.When I think of "Fodey", my name for her, will always remember the wild rides in her car,and how she collected 25 cents from everyone who rodein it to PAY for the GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lydia was a great pool player. I remember night my mom's car dinged at her home while trying to give someone driving lesson.She was even after Bill then. Miss her a lot.
