Richard D. Ciotti

Richard Ciotti, age 70, of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 10, 2013 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT. Born on April 18, 1943 in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Antonio and Virginia (Tassi) Ciotti. Rich graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport, served in the U.S. Navy,  and then worked for many years at Carpenter Steel and Ricoh and was most recently employed by New Resources Group. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of family, his love of the New York Giants and for always living life to its fullest. He is survived by his sisters; Elizabeth Masten of Danbury and Virginia (Ronald) Bassett of Monroe, sisters-in-law Barbara, Lorraine,Lydia, and Terri, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Angelo, Antonio, Vincent, Tito, Robert, Joseph and his sisters Victoria Toth, Rose Peterson, Ida Venezia, and Antoinette. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 21st at 9am in St. James Church 2070 Main Street, Stratford. Internment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue Stratford. Donations may be made in honor of Rich's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hosptal , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. "Uncle Rich ....a piece of all of our hearts leaves with you."
