Obituary

Frances E. (Casey) Smith, age 74, of Bridgeport, passed away February 11, 2017 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was born in Bridgeport to the late James and Elizabeth Casey. She was a retired floor manager for the Carolton Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield, CT where she was employed for over 30 years. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband Richard Smith, her son Darren Smith and her sister Kathleen Larkin. Survivors include her children, Dwayne E. Smith and his wife Cheryl of Carlsbad, CA, Alene Giannaccio and her husband Robert of Bethlehem, CT and Dennis J. Smith of Bridgeport, CT; her brothers James Casey and his wife Mary of Bridgeport, CT, Thomas Casey and his wife Rachel of Weeki Wachee Springs, FL, and Elizabeth Daley and her husband Richard of Huntington CA, five grandchildren Holly, Daniel, Madyson, Andy and Sean, her brother-in-law Mickey Larkin of NH and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in the spring/summer at St. Michael's Cemetery at a time to be determined. Arrangements in care of the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home.

I was not a close friend of Frances, but from her yearbook picture, we must have crossed paths many time as she looks so familiar. Your beautiful smile is one, no one could ever forget. Sorry you have passed but I am sure you are missed by many. Rest in peace, my friend. Den

Our class seems to be making so many angels. I didn't know Frances but she was part of a great class. RIP
