Frederic A. Canfield, Jr., 28, of 194 Myrtle street, a foreman for the Nichols Engineering company, died Friday in Griffin hospital, Derby.
Born in Bridgeport, Mr. Canfield had resided in the Shelton area all his life. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Christine Bouclier Canfield; a son, Frederic A. Canfield III of Shelton; two daughters, Michele and Deborah Canfield of Shelton; and his mother, Mrs. Mildred Canfield of Trumbull.

Fred was my best friend at Central. All the hours we spent in his barn souping up his 49 Merc & my 52 Kaiser Manhattan, listening to tunes. Best time has was at Pleasure Beach Ball Room when Chubby Checker played there with Al Brown & the Madisons.
